Jocelyn is everything anyone would want their baker to be; charming, smart and extremely talented. She had us at cake, but we quickly found out her skills don’t stop there – cupcakes, meringues, macarons (yes!) and any specialty confection, like canelés, are part of her repertoire. What are canelés? Let’s just say they are a little piece of custardy heaven on earth that we are now craving and wishing we had more of.
Her simple elegance reserves a flavorful dessert that will make a lasting impression. There haven’t been many cakes in our lives that have been memorable, but Jocelyn’s sure are…let’s just say that we are really glad she relocated to Rockport shortly after graduating from The French Pastry School in IL. Local couples are going to be in for a treat to be able to find this level of quality and artistry to match the type of weddings that so many are going for these days; timeless, clean and fresh. Brides wanting something to wow their guests with understated elegance will find that Mayflour Confections is the ultimate find they’ve been looking for. Jocelyn spent an afternoon at our studio chatting about weddings, and sadly for us(!), she brought cake. Be prepared for a lot of photos!
We have a feeling this won’t be the last time you hear the name “Mayflour” thrown around on Cape Ann. Not only does Jocelyn produce the most exquisite dessert for weddings, she also will hopefully be getting involved locally in farmer’s markets and local shops.
