2024, Part I

A recap in portraits

The off-season. I live in a seaside community that gets pretty quiet in the winter. People often ask me if the slower pace bothers me, but honestly, I’ve always gravitated toward things that follow a seasonal rhythm. I’m a gardener, so I look forward to those months when there’s nothing to do but reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and start dreaming about what’s next. It’s a time to reset and think about the season ahead, and I love that pause.

My photography feels seasonal too. While I shoot year-round, the quieter months are when I take the time to look back at the work I’ve done, appreciate everything I’ve been trusted to capture, and feel excited for what’s ahead.

This year, I wanted to be more intentional about sharing a peek into what my year looked like through portraits. So here’s a little look back at 2024—a year filled with beautiful faces, meaningful moments, and so much to be grateful for.
